Will of Sarah Ogborne of Marshfield, Gloucestershire 1739

In the name of God Amen

I Sarah Ogborne of the Parish of Marshfield and county of Gloucester Spinster being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament Committing my body to the earth directly? To be interred at the direction of my executors herein after named and my worldly goods I give and dispose as followeth
Imprimis I give for the quarterly and Monthly Meeting of our society called Quakers the sum of four pounds.
Item I give to Robert Ogborne Benjamin Ogborne Mary Ogborne Ann Ogbourne and Elizabeth Ogborne sons and Daughters of Nathaniel Ogborne of Chipping Sodbury the sum of five shillings each.
All the rest of my goods and chattels Personal and Real to me in law or equity belonging and appertaining I give to the six children of my two late brothers John Ogborne and William Ogborne. To wit to Ann and Hannah the daughters of John Ogborne and to John Ogbourne and Elizabeth, Hannah and Mary (or to each of their children in either of them deceased) son and daughters of my late brother William Ogborne to be equally divided between them – They all having their residence if living at or about a certain place called Chester Field In the County of Burlington in Pennsylvania.
And I do constitute and appoint my Trusty and well beloved friends Christopher Young and Jane? Sharples of Thornbury to be my Executors in Trust for my cousin John Ogborne and my cousin Ann Ogborne by her maiden name Above named and do Constitute and appoint the said John Ogborne & his cousin Mary, To be my lawful sole executors Desiring my neighbour John Tiley to assist in a necessary provision for my funeral ‘til my executors in Trust may come and I do hereby null and make void any former will ratifying this and no other to be my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have herunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of February 1739

This will was proved the 14th day of July in the year of our Lord 1740 before the Worshipful Sir Henry Penrice Knight Doctor of Laws Vicar General of Sprituals of the Right Reverend Father in God Martin Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Gloucester and his Episcopal Consistory Official Principal Lawfully Constituted by Christopher Young & Isaac Sharples Executors and so forth to whom and so forth having first solemnly sincerely & Truly declare & affirm well and faithfully to Administer to the said will and also to exhibit an Inventory and send an account and so forth.
