In the name of God Amen I Dame Joyce Ogborne of Greenwich in the County of Kent Widow Being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make And perfect my last Will & Testament in manner following That is To say
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Margaret Williams the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid to Her and she to receive the interest of it during her life And after Her death I give the said two hundred pounds to her two daughters Elizabeth and Mary Williams equally to be divided between them To My Cousins Mary and Hannah Clopton I give the sum of one Hundred pounds apeirt? And to my Sister Mary Bedson the sum of Fifty pounds and to my cousin Elizabeth Marssay Twenty pounds To Mrs Mary Gibbons Twenty pounds To Mrs Dorothy Phillips Twenty pounds And to my late servant Elizabeth Clay the sum of twenty pounds To my servant Mary Davy fforty pounds and to my late servant John Sturges twenty pounds To the poor widows as my executrix Shall approve of ten pounds apeirt? All whith legacys I direct shall be paid within six months after my death Item I give and bequeath To my Nephew William Singleton at St Christophers in the West Indies If he shall be living at the time of my death I give the rest of my goods Chattels ready money plate rings jewels debts and personal estate Whatsoever My debts being first thereout paid and funeral charges Discharged
But in case my said Nephew shall happen to be dead Before me then I give and devise all the said rest and residue Of my said personal estate to my said cousins Elizabeth and Mary Williams Mary and Hannah Clopton and Elizabeth Searles equally To be divided between them and the survivors and survivor of them Share and share alike and I do hereby nominate and appoint the Said Mary Dyer full and sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Trust nevertheless for the benefit and behoof of My said Nephew William Singleton if he shall be then living if not For the several other persons to whom I have hereby given the Residue of my said personal estate and I hereby give my said Executrix full power and authority to sell and dispose of my said Goods Chattels and personal estate and to pay the attorneys Arising thereby according to the true intent of this my will my said Executrix first deducting thereout all Charges and Expenses she shall Be put into in the execution of this my will and I do hereby Revoke all former wills by me made and do declare this to be my Only last Will and Testament

This Will was proven at London before the Worshipfull Robert Chapman Doctor of Law surrogate of the right worshipfull John Bettesworth also doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissioner of The Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted the eleventh Day of August the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred And forty four By the oath of Mary Dyer Widow the sole Executrix Named in the said will to whom was granted Administration of all And singular the Goods Chattells and credits of the deceased being First sworn duly to administer.
